In this article, Professor Jarmon explores ways that law students can gain a competitive edge during their summer breaks. While many law students will be focusing solely on finding paid legal employment, this article discusses other ways students can acquire some legal skills or broaden their understanding of the law, legal system, and legal profession. For example, spending time in a courtroom, participating in pro bono activities, or studying a second language are all ways to help expand legal horizons during the summer break. |
