A Checklist of Selected American Bar Association Endorsed Standards

Abstract

This checklist compiles a list of standards endorsed by the American Bar Association (ABA) through the 1985 Annual Meeting. Among other things, the checklist sets forth the dates on which the standards were endorsed by the ABA House of Delegates, the sponsoring group who initially proposed, and often developed, the standards, amendments occurring after the initial passage date, and sources where copies of the standards may be found. It is hoped that by doing so, the checklist will provide a starting point to those wishing to do further research in this area.
