History of the School of Law of Texas Tech University

Abstract

Richard B. Amandes, dean of the Texas Tech University School of Law, provides a detailed history of the law school which begins with the “project” envisioned by West Texas lawyer Alvin R. Allison in the early 1960s and continues through the accreditation of the school in 1970. Included are specific facts about the makeup of the initial three classes enrolled in the law school as well as the initial curriculum.
