Abstract:
|
Professor Phillips shares a teaching method that uses an exercise involving the death penalty, along with her personal experience as a defense attorney, to introduce students to persuasive advocacy and legal ethics, and to help students understand that they must learn to develop arguments for a side or party they do not normally align themselves with in the event they are called upon to represent such a client. |
